I wish I could say that my life has gotten better. It has not. The house flooded, and was then gutted by the mitigation team. We still don’t have a contractor starting the build-back because it’s taking insurance so long to respond. The worst thing, by far, however, is that my parents continue to decline. We have called in Hospice. I’ve been so lucky to have them for so long in my life. But watching them suffer here at the end is keeping my heart completely broken.
HERE are some things that have happened since last I wrote. A bright spot - wonderful people sent gifts to Winnie’s Wish over the holidays.
mr and husband lost Felicity (a Wisher – Frosting), but luckily Hershey has a new sibling – Emily.
mr and Husband - THANK YOU.
Beth and Mike's gift included a gift tag that said - Merry Christmas to the kitties at Winnie’s Wish. In memory of our sweet Guinness who went to the Bridge in June. Beth and Mike lost their Andy two Christmases ago. They lost Guinness (Andy’s buddy) this past summer. Guinness on the left. Andy on the right.
Beth and Mike - THANK YOU.
Annie - THANK YOU.
Lindsay - THANK YOU. (Lindsay is Maria’s daughter – a gift to Winnie’s Wish was one of the gifts she gave to her mother for Christmas.)
June - THANK YOU from back in October.
Happy New Year everyone! Hoping for a peace-filled year.
I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time. I wish nobody had to go through these things. *hugs*

Aging is a terrible curse, really, and abysmal for those aging and for those who care about them. And to have your house ruined on top of it, is adding insult to injury. I hope things improve in your home, and that your parents, if their condition must worsen, feel comfort and ease in their days.

So sorry to hear about your parents. They are both wonderful people. Several of my ferral cats had to be put down and dear Brindell also. I know you are aware that a lot of scammers are in the construction business. You always rebound because that is the way you always were. Life gets tough the older we all get. I wish I could just reach through this computer and give you a great big hug.Keep in touch with us all you are so loved by all the animal lovers. You have helped so many. God bless you dear one. Prayers for you to get back in your house soon.
