I would say one thing to that old biddy body--As the English say -- Kiss my Royal Arss!---enough said. Those girls and you work your fingers to the bone to save every thing that breathes. Never ever give out your location to anyone that you don't know or are certain has an injured animal. It's a different world we live in right now. I remember when you could let some one you didn't know inside your home to use your home phone. Now people hurt others for the fun of it. It will be a long week with out your post but you deserve a time away. We will be here when you return. God bless.

I agree with you completely Chrystal! I got involved with our local cat refuge a few years back & they do amazing work. Adoption days, fund raising & just trying to save as many as possible. Many people let their cats outside & then you have the people who hurt them etc. Nasty people!!
I encountered people like that ‘person’ & if they don’t help then they are part of the problem & should mind their own business 😠 . Your entire family has done such wonderful work saving animals 😻
Enjoy your time off, you deserve it 🥰

Cassandra

Hugs to you. It isn't easy taking care of animals and websites and all the things. There are some really weird people in this world who have no clue how things actually work. They'll never really *get it* and the best we can hope for is that they will just go away.

My goodness, that's how it is sometimes with our rescue-group. I answer the recorded messages - some still can't figure out the idea of recording a message, which I think has been around since the 1960s - and some of them want to know where we are located. The reason we don't give out an address is because we don't have a central shelter; all our cats are in foster-homes. The address we used to have was our executive's home. You can guess what that led to now and then: the same problem you pointed out that you would have. And, like your daughter, we have a procedure to follow. Other people demand to know why we have voice-mail at all, and why we don't get back to them. I feel like telling these ones that if they want to donate $30,000 a year, we could hire someone to man the telephone during work-hours - though we'd probably spend the money on veterinary expenses and cat-food. I think a lot of these people - like the subject of your complaint - become angry because they are inconvenienced by our procedures, by the small amount of work they need to do, etc. Inconvenience to many people is the greatest of crimes. (Boy, maybe I should have put this comment on my own blog instead of inflicting it on you!)

Chrystal

Thanks for the comments, my Friends. John Bellen, I think your comment is well-placed :)

John says everything so well and I myself have about 17 rescues that includes 6 of my own and three extras on the front porch. It takes a lot of loot to keep this going but till the day I drop I will try. Their lives are better off with the help I give them, than it was before. I have my cat room and out side run, but these animals will never be able to be adopted as some are feral. We have a couple of men over here in my town who feed colonies at Mc Donald's fast food and like us all we are getting older and hope some one takes up the cause when we are no longer able to do this. Keep up the good work Chrystal and all who do it because those little souls need help. Winter is coming soon. God Bless.

Pam

People are crazy. And thoughtless. And rude. You and the girls do a fabulous job and don’t let anyone tell you different!!
