With no additions and no adoptions, Winnie’s Wish doesn’t have much to say for itself. But there are still 32 cats here, and they will live out their lives here. For me, not much has changed. Taking care of 32 cats every day is the same no matter what else is going on in my world. There is about a two and a half hour morning routine. There’s an hour long 4pm routine. And there’s a bedtime routine. If I’m going to be away from home I have to schedule leaving after about ten in the morning and getting home before four. When I do a fund-raising yard sale for the shelter where my daughters work, it means getting up even earlier than usual to get through the morning routines for the Wishers and for our own animals. (yep, that means getting up when it’s still dark) Sometimes it feels like too much. But all I have to do is walk through the front door and see my first Wisher, and no matter how tired I am or how many other things I need to do, I melt at the sight of those sweethearts. Every single one of them is precious. All different, each wonderful in his or her own way. Here are some new pictures (of almost everybody).
The Winnie's Wishers - a gorgeous crew if I do say so myself!
Thank you for showing all the wishers. Your life is so much like mine. I some times get up at five because I have my stray -Starsky who comes up to eat. This cat is so scared I have to tap on the door glass and bring out the food never looking it in the eyes. I have fed 4 wild ones for years in my cat room. Don't ever think for a minute that no one cares about your life because we all out here in blog-land love to see the cats and rescues you have. You have saved so many little souls. I pray that you can carry on for many years doing this wonderful work and also the work your daughters do is so needed in this cold cruel world filled with scared hungry little wild eyes in the night who need help. God bless you all.

They certainly are gorgeous, and lucky beyond belief to be Wishers! They don't know how lucky they are...all they know is they are loved, comfortable, and with full bellies. Thank you, Chrystal, for all you do for the precious ones in your care. You are truly remarkable!

They are all adorable. You are amazing. I have a tough time with just 11 so I don't know how you do it. God bless you.

A beautiful bunch. I know all about routine. I have only five, but they regulate my life. Two diabetics, one with kidney failure, two whose weight I'm trying to reduce and one I still need to introduce to the others... But you're right in that it is worth it.
