My grandmother raised a baby dove. His name was PeeDee. Every time I hear a mourning dove I think of her. Of course we had everything in the house, chickens, cows, a goat, dogs and cats. Quite the menagerie. I don’t have a doubt that I got my love of animals from her.

I love your stories, even the losses remind me of the ones I’ve lost. Some too soon like your Tiny. My heart aches for anyone that has endured this pain.

Andrea and the Celestial Kitties

Aw, so sorry for the loss of the deer. I know it cannot be easy, but look at how many are still alive and thriving with her! This is literally a 'count your blessings' moment there. Loss is hard, but it's gotta be heart warming that so many are still doing great and will one day end up back in the wild.
Hugs to you and your daughter both in dealing with sadness.

Friends, Wild Angels has no funding except for what lovely people, like us, will donate on their facebook page, so if you can, please help!
Winnie's Wish can always use donations and wish list items too, so again, if you can, please help!
Thank you!

Ginny& the Fur Family

I had a little Carolina wren who made a nest on my porch hanging planter. I found one of her babies live on the porch and put it back in the nest and next morning I found it back out on the porch floor but this time it was dead. Who knows what the bird was thinking - I wish I could do bird speak and animal speak. You just try to save what you can, and Pray for the best out come. Some times no matter what a person does - death just hits, and hits hard on the heart. The heart hurts so very much for all who love the furries and feathers.

I know the work can be heartbreaking, but the babies that she keeps alive and transitions to the wild makes it all worthwhile, I'm sure. Bless Older Daughter for her commitment and dedication to wildlife!

The Dash Kitten Crew

Rescue work is one of the toughest challenges facing the world today. We owe you a debt of gratitude for what you do.

The Poupounette Gang

So sorry about the little fawn. But what an amazing job with all the others, and all paws and fingers crossed for the little dove.

Timmy Tomcat

It is so difficult to save those of the wild who need help. Support for older sister and all of you!

Cynthia

So sorry to hear about the fawn, rescue is never easy sometimes. Prayers for the little dove.
