I have nothing but good news to share with you today. Last week I told you about the property with all of the breeding cats. This discovery came about because of a mom dog and her two pups. The pups are waiting to be chosen for adoption. And mom dog was spayed last week. She will never have another litter of puppies now!
I launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise the money to have EVERY cat (and eventually kitten) on that property spayed or neutered. My daughters and I tried to estimate the number of cats and kittens on the property. Our best guess is 30. So I figured 30 surgeries at roughly an average of $100 per surgery (figuring spays would cost a little more and neuters a little less). I set my GoFundMe campaign goal at $3000. Well – I’m THRILLED to announce that I have been in contact with two different veterinary clinics where the costs will be less than I had originally figured. SO . . . (drumroll) . . . .
I reduced my GOAL amount to $2000!!!!
I believe we can get these surgeries done for that amount. I’ve based my decision on assuming approximately half of the cats will be female, the other half male. I’m feeling so much more confident now about actually reaching goal. I just know we can bring that much in and make the cat population at this property a zero-growth group! WHOO HOO!!!
The next announcement of good news is that we have almost reached the first $1000. Thanks to people sharing this campaign and contributing to our goal, the new total is $815. PLEASE keep sharing, Friends. I am going to keep spaying and neutering until the money runs out. My deepest desire is that EVERY cat (and eventually kitten) on this property will be spayed or neutered and the B R E E D I N G W I L L E N D.
Now on the next announcement of good news. Three female cats are scheduled for spay THIS week. And (more good news) – my wonderful parents are sponsoring these first three spays! These three are being spayed without me even having to pull the first dollar from the fundraiser.
And the final piece of good news - there were nine donations in the first 24 hours of this fundraiser. Since then, another six donations have come in.
Here they are: The Poupounette Gang (Virginia), Terri, Pam, Heather, Myra, Betsy – THANK YOU.
Now - just in case that wasn’t enough good news for you, I have some of the BEST news still to reveal. I’ll see you tomorrow for that! And on Thursday I’ll be back with a story that is unrelated to the animals at the property and the spay & neuter campaign. This story has brought me great relief concerning one tiny animal.
So much good news!

Awwww, we all LOVE good news, and no one deserves good news more than you, Chrystal. I am so happy that the process of spaying and neutering these cats and kittens will begin, and the chain of suffering will end at that location. It's the starfish and the ocean concept....it makes a huge amount of difference for THESE cats. Keep sharing and donating, everyone! Let's make Chrystal's dream come true!! Can't wait until tomorrow's good news!!

Too many cats and the owner is over whelmed and it goes from a happy pet to a horrible situation. This will help so much. Hang in there - Chrystal is our hero. Donate to the cause.
