Last Fall I posted on this blog that I was going to do Saturday yard sales to raise money for the shelter where my daughters work. I love making money for ANY animal cause, so I would have done this for the shelter regardless. But there is an added benefit. Older Daughter and I are selling our own “things” to benefit our own animal causes – Winnie’s Wish and Wild Angels Wildlife Rehab. I spent the Winter going through closets and dressers and looking around the house for things to sell. My parents donate their stuff, and those dollars are split between Older Daughter’s cause and my own. So we're ready!
This coming Saturday I’m kicking off the Spring series of Yard Sales to benefit these animal groups. All three groups did well last Fall. Injured and baby wildlife need food, formula, meds and vet care. Wishers need food, litter (tons), vaccinations, and vet care (including spays and neuters). And the shelter needs all of those things and more. We have lots of stuff. Now we need lots of shoppers. Wish us luck starting this weekend and throughout the Spring.

Vet care is very expensive. I know first hand about that. I pray the week end is not rainy. Please folks go to these yard sales and you will find a lot of great stuff and help a lot of furries. Donate to the cause. Right now I have a small raccoon that comes to my front porch to feed. I always put out something at night. They are so happy to get anything. Night time and the road ways are not kind to the mothers of these babies. Thanks older daughter for helping these sweet souls to survive.

Fingers crossed that you have TONS of people at your sale and they all bring lots of money! (Hmm, maybe you need donate jars for each as well, somewhere for them to toss their loose change?? pick a cause, lighten your pockets? lol)
Don't forget, we can donate either money (donate button) or goods (wish list) directly! And I believe Wild Angels has a donate button on their facebook page?? Help where you can!
Don't forget to pick a kitty on the side bar and share their post! Just use the handy share button on the bottom of each cat's page!!! Purr and pray for adoptions!
