Lately, I’ve thought more about Nisha and Yardley than any of the other cats here at Winnie’s Wish. These two Wishers are just so wonderful in every way that I can’t stop thinking about how much time is ticking by without some human enjoying the company of these two cats. They will bring SO much joy into the life of some lucky person. Oh, how I wish I could find that person soon.
Last week I did a post about Kizzie and Bunny*. They are the offspring of Yardley. It was only last Fall that I was trapping for Yardley, Kizzie, Bunny, and finally Nisha. They are a family group for sure. If you were reading here a year ago, you’ll remember that each of these kitties showed up on our property over the span of many weeks. They seemed to be coming from the woods that joins our property on the west side. Before long, I was calling them the West Woods Gang. It became slowly apparent that this group was a family – Kizzie and Bunny are siblings, Yardley is mom to these two, and Nisha is most likely Yardley’s sister. Each of these cats was spayed/neutered, brought to health, and tamed. Kizzie and Bunny have only recently become tame enough to go to a (patient) home. Nisha and Yardley have been ready for many months now.
I’ve described these two great cats before. And I have vacillated between wanting them to be adopted together to thinking that Nisha would do fine as a single and Yardley could go with Kizzie or Bunny. I believe I’ve finally settled on the ideal – Kizzie and Bunny need each other; and Nisha and Yardley would be happiest if they could stay together as well. Of course – as I’ve said (even just last week in the post about Kizzie and Bunny), if there is anyone out there looking for an entire family of cats all at once, the four of these kitties would be the perfect group. Let me quote from that post: if there is anyone out there looking to fill their home in one big adoption – these four are family and they all love each other very much. Imagine. Kizzie the one-eyed bobtail, Bunny the blue-eyed flamepoint bobtail, Yardley the playful belly-rub lover, and Nisha the 100% cuddle-bug lap kitty. Who wouldn’t want all of those characteristics in their cat family?
But if four is too many, I’m hoping there is a perfect somebody out there for the bonded sister pair Nisha and Yardley. I said above that these two kitties could be bringing joy into the life of some lucky person. Here’s what you’ll get. Nisha is a cuddle-bug. She enjoys lap time. She is completely OK with being carried around. She scrunches up into a little furry ball when you hold her. She craves human attention. She doesn’t play with toys a great deal, but she definitely takes a spell occasionally. Yardley also craves human attention. When I’m working in the cathouse, she drops in front of me over and over and rolls onto her back. If I don’t notice, she talks to me about this. She wants me to stop what I’m doing and give her belly rubs. She is also the most playful adult cat I’ve ever had at Winnie’s Wish. She is a fan of toys, tunnels, whirly-gigs, and balls in tracks. She can play and play all by herself and be perfectly content.
As with any cat, these two will require an adjustment period in a new home. But with love and a little patience, someone will have a couple of fantastic companions before you know it. Except for a few exceptions, I want ALL of the Wishers to have their very own homes and families. But for Nisha and Yardley, time’s a wastin’. These two could be living The Good Life and offering some real joy in return if I could just find that human . . . asap.
Take a look at sweet sweet Nisha.
Take a look at sweet sweet Yardley.
Here's to hoping these two will get a home together very very soon.
See you tomorrow.
I also hope some one will adopt the four together. I remember the west woods gang. We out there were praying that you would get them all. They have had a great home this last year with comfort love and security. The good part is that they will not have anymore kittens. You did a good thing when you cared enough to set a trap night after night. You have tamed them so they could go to a good home. Prayers that someone adopts these sweet souls together. Warm wishes for a rainy day.

Here's hoping for a loving home for these two beauties! I remember their story so well, and they are so deserving of a home. In the meantime, there is not a better place for them than Winnie's Wish and Chrystal's loving hands!

It's hard to believe a year has already gone by since these two pretty ladycats joined Winnie's Wish. I'm so glad you were able to rescue & socialize them along with Kizzie & Bunny. And, oh how I wish for forever homes for them! All together or in pairs would certainly be icing on the cake!
