Happy Monday Friends. And speaking of Monday . . . Momma Monday was spayed on Thursday. I felt bad for her. Even though she did not slam around inside the carrier on the way to the clinic, she squeezed herself into the back corner and froze there. When I picked her up that afternoon, she was still a little groggy. That was fine, but later in the evening when I checked on her, she shot away from me. In fact, I spent most of the weekend trying to re-gain her trust. She and I had developed a relationship; and in fact, I could pet her and she would purr. But on Friday and most of Saturday, she would hide in a corner of the room when I entered. She would not even look at me. The good news is that yesterday we made some progress. I was able to enter without Monday running away from me. And last night I was able to touch her. We’ve lost a lot, but I’m hopeful that she will eventually completely trust me again.
More gifts arrived for Winnie’s Wish.
Virginia – THANK YOU.
More canned kitten food arrived. And kitty litter, too. Yay!
Pam and Ray - THANK YOU (and for the bag of Cat Chow you brought when you boarded your dogs).
AND – Andrea (Celestial Kitties) sent a check to Winnie’s Wish. This is what she raised with her recent Surf & Turf toy FUNdraiser. Get ready because this is a shocker . . . (drumroll . . . . .)
$1100 !!!
Yes. That’s two 1’s and two 0’s. Fabulous, amazing, wonderful, needed, appreciated, unbelievable. Actually, I shouldn’t use the word “unbelievable” because Andrea’s toys are becoming famous. More and more folks want her toys for their kitties. I’m deeply grateful to Andrea for these FUNdraisers. And of course, no fundraiser is a fundraiser at all if people don’t participate. Andrea always sends me a list of every single person who buys toys or donates outright. So I have a list of names of all of you fantastic Friends of Winnie’s Wish. And Andrea’s husband always has her “round up” when they send a check to Winnie’s Wish. So . . .
Friends of Winnie’s Wish – THANK YOU.
Andrea and Greg – THANK YOU.
See you tomorrow.
Happy Monday stash! And paws crossed that little Momma Monday quickly understands that you were not breaking her trust.

That is great that the Surf and Turf raised so much.My own kitties love the toys. Every one plays with them. Good going Andrea. Keep up the wonderful work. You are a true friend of the Furries. The gifts of food and litter are always useful and much needed. Poor little Monday. She will thank you later when she is with out litter year after year. She will be fed, cared for and loved. She hurts right now but later on she will forgive you and trust you again. You are a wonder to work so hard for these animal souls. Beautiful day again here in Fur a way land. Autumn is upon the heart land. Leaves are falling already. Warm wishes for a blessed day.

Aw Good for Momma Monday, no more babies! I know you'll win her back, Chrystal, and I know you won't give up because giving up is just not in you! So Momma-never-again Monday, you may as well give it up now and start enjoying the pets!
Yay for all the generous gifts! And Yay for everyone who participated in the FUNdraiser and made it so successful!
We can keep all the "Yay"'s going, friends! Know how?? We can help get some kitties adopted! Please share the need for homes, for the kittens and the adult Wishers! And please, just because Winnie's Wish got that check from the fundraiser, don't think the needs are taken care of, keep those donations and wish list items flowing in! With SO many cats, it wont be long before there's need again! So lets lower the number of kitties through adoption and keep the ones that are there fed and littered and in health! We can do it together! Love you all!!!

What wonderful news about Andrea, Greg & the Celestial Kitties' FUNdraiser! A win, win all the way around, as I know how much my cats love their FUNdraiser toys! Andrea does an awesome job!
And just look at those wish list items! Some much needed necessities along with some fun stuff for the kitties! Woo hoo!
