I ended yesterday’s post with why I feel stronger than ever about raising the money to build on to the Winnie’s Wish cathouse. I like to keep the cats here happy. Always, the ultimate goal is to get the Wishers into wonderful forever homes. But until that happens, I want their life here to be as good as possible.
I happen to have a few of the more timid types at this time. Peter Pan and Tinkerbell fall into this category. They are now living in the cat rooms in the kennel. Isis and Quinn and Goldie already live in those rooms because they never did make the adjustment in the cathouse. But now I have Nisha and Yardley who have joined the ranks of the less assertive. It’s certainly no fault of theirs. It’s all about personality. But there is just nowhere else to go with two more timid kitties. Nisha is still in the cathouse and she is holding her own. But poor Yardley had started hiding so much that I’m pretty sure she had stopped eating and drinking. So I moved her to a cage in my kennel storage room. I knew that could NOT be for any length of time at all because that room is not set up for the comfort of a cat. (In fact, on Sunday night, something happened that required me to move her from that room anyway. That story later.) Anyway, where we are now is that Yardley is living in a cage in one of the cat rooms in the kennel. I sure didn’t want to crowd that area again because I JUST managed to get a combination and number of cats in those two rooms that works! But you do what you gotta to do. And for now, that is where Yardley is.
SO – today’s post is specifically about getting Yardley and Nisha into a home. And here’s the deal. If there is someone out there who would adopt Yardley and Nisha, that someone would be gifted with PURE JOY for the rest of his or her life. I’m not just saying this because they need a home so badly. Nisha and Yardley may truly be the two best cats EVER. I know I say that about A LOT of animals, but these two are really really fantastic.
Nisha and Yardley have become VERY friendly. They cause NO trouble with any other cats. They come to me for attention every time I enter their world. They love each other. And to be more specific about each one, their nicknames paint the best picture. Nisha’s nickname is Cuddle Bug, and Yardley’s nickname is Belly Rub. Nisha wants to be held. She begs continuously for me to hold her. When I pick her up, she scrunches into a ball right against me. I don’t know how long she would stay like that, but so far she has never been the one to break away. It’s me who finally has to put her down and get back to work. She even lets me carry her around in that position. WHAT a Cuddle Bug she is! And Yardley – this one now rolls onto her back when I kneel down beside her. I rub her belly and she talks and rolls around and acts like she’s in heaven. If I walk away to start working, she makes her way to where I am, looks up at me and starts talking, and when I talk back she rolls onto her back – exposing that soft belly for more rubs. So now I call her Belly Rub.
These two cats are just great. I’d love to get them into a home together. It should be a home where there are no aggressive, more dominant type cats. That’s what they need to be relieved of. If somebody out there reading this is looking for the sweetest pair of kitties anywhere – adopt Nisha and Yardley, otherwise known as Cuddle Bug and Belly Rub. You won’t be sorry.
Friends – PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. If I raise enough money to build a room for more timid kitties, it certainly won’t be ready any time soon. I’d love to get these two sweet Wishers into a loving home of their very own . . . really really soon.
See you tomorrow.

This neat loving pair of girls need a loving home together so they can live their lives out in happiness. Please some one out there consider these beauties. Please donate what ever you can to build this new room for the cat house. Dollars mount up to five or ten etc. There is no such thing as a too small gift. Remember bleach - paper towels - garbage bags - toys - We love the stories of the cat house gang. keep relating the relationships of the furries to us out here.
