This is very true. It's why fostering cats, though it makes it difficult to give these cats up for adoption, often leads to successful and permanent situations. Knowing the personalities of the cats and who they would fit well with, and which homes would be best for them, can make all the difference. It's funny that some people don't realise that cats have various personalities, as diverse as human personalities.

Random Felines

and the nice part is that with them living together, they can see the one that likes you and maybe decide you aren't so bad :)

Andrea and the Celestial Kitties

Aw, I love seeing Leo's siblings in that picture! I don't know if my Leo was the last to tame, I have to read the book again to remember that! But I do know he was the last of his litter to move into the cathouse and that he had trouble adjusting there. But now! He's the biggest cuddle bug, my snuggly baby! So I can tell you that it's SO worth it to adopt a former feral once they are ready, and it's SO worth it to give them the time they need to adjust to your home!
There are lots of great kitties in the cathouse right now who are ready for homes! Won't you help find them a great family that can love them and make them one of their own? I'm telling you, you'll never regret being part of getting them into homes!
Oh, and want to read about Leo and his sisters start?? Get the book! (link at top of the sidebar!) They are in the last third of the book but the whole thing is worth the read AND every sale helps out Winnie's Wish! Buy several, give them as gifts!!

The Poupounette

And they are all lucky to have been found by you, Chrystal!

Ginny & The Fur Family

I think that Chrystal is so right about the personalities of feral kitties. Of my four feral cats I call the Royal cats, only one is tame, and the other three are still so scared they will come up to me, and if I reach out a hand, they are gone like a shot. I am going to keep them, because they are not unhappy here, just scared. They eat well and are friendly with the other house cats. Time is no object. I will give them all the time they need. They are long haired and so beautiful. I will go back and read about Leo and his siblings again to refresh my memory. Andrea has a very pretty group of cats. They were definitely success stories. love the pictures.
