On Thursday I posted about Sienna moving from the unadoptable/feral category to the ADOPTABLE CATegory. And today I want to share with you the beginnings of another potential taming. You remember there are four kittens from two litters that we trapped back in June. I lost two of the kittens of the younger litter to some type of internal structural malformation. One tiny kitten survived from that litter, and she is completely healthy. All three from the older litter are as healthy as can be, too. BUT – the three older ones are feral. I work with them every day, trying to win their trust. I do this with canned kitten food. In fact, it was Virginia (#1 of the Pounpounette Gang) who initially sent a case of this kitten food to Winnie’s Wish. Then she sent a second case from The Wish List that I posted about just last week. All four kittens LOVE canned food time. Sugar Cookie has been tame from nearly the beginning (having been rescued at such a young age). The good news is that one of the older kittens is now “touchable” as a result of our daily canned food parties. Now I pet TWO kittens every day. Sugar Cookie AND PEETA! Yippee! (Two more to go . . . )
The following pictures show that Finnick is getting closer to me now; however, he gets very upset when I try to touch him. And sweet little Prim still watches from a distance. Here they are at Canned Food Time.
Over the weekend, Winnie’s Wish received this gift from The Wish List with a note that said – Because you can never have too much kitty litter or garbage bags. Sandy, you couldn’t be more right!
Sandy – THANK YOU.
(And Karen . . . THANK YOU for another gift.)
Yesterday, while I was taking pictures of Peeta allowing me to pet him, I took lots of pictures of the one tame kitten in the group. That would be Sugar Cookie. And that’s what tomorrow’s post will be – a day at the spa for your brain. Lots of feel-good chemicals. Pictures that will prove that Sugar Cookie IS the sweetest little kitten in the world.
See you tomorrow.
awww - looks like Peeta is out to change his mind about people :)

Oh they are such a cute group of kittens! Please tame quickly little ones, so you can get homes of your own while you're still young! People, we seriously need to find a great home for sugar cookie! She obviously needs a lap to lay on! Who do you know who needs some sweetness in their life??

they are all so cute. perhaps Peeta will whisper into his litter mates ears that being petted is the best thing ever besides can kitten food.

The pictures are great. They will tame in time. They are beautiful kitties. Nice to get much needed gifts. litter goes quickly and canned cat food is such a treat to try to tame a kitten. They love the smell. Ginny & The Fur Family

There's nothing as cute as a kitten, and these are the cutest! I have total faith that you will win them over, Chrystal, with your patience and love!
