The two seniors I am highlighting today ABSOLUTELY DO NEED HOMES – and the sooner the better. You might remember that I brought Traci Mae here from the shelter as a trade because the girls said she was a cat unlikely to get adopted and SO sad at the shelter. Well, even though she perked up some after coming here, I have to confess – Traci Mae isn’t truly happy here either. Now that she has been with me long enough to really get to know her, I can say some things about her that I did not initially know. She spends a lot of her time trying to stay out of the way of the other cats. There are just too many cats in the cathouse for her to ever be completely relaxed. She comes across as a loner, but it might just be that she needs a more settled environment. What is so sad about her existence is that when I find where she’s curled up and I start petting her, she purrs and purrs and purrs. I SO wish she could have a home with a person who would shower her with attention. Traci Mae’s eyes run off and on. She has received veterinary care for those eyes and they only clear up for short periods of time. I put her on Viralys for an extended period, but there was only mild improvement. I wonder sometimes if this condition is exacerbated by stress. I truly feel that Traci Mae feels stress on a daily basis. This gal needs a real home with a loving human. She is already six years old. She needs to be chosen soon so she can start living The Good Life.
And then there’s Teddy. Yesterday, I highlighted Winnie's Wish seniors Tibby Bean and Circe. They are both six years old. Traci Mae is also six years old. Teddy is EIGHT years old.
Here’s the thing about Teddy. He is probably the best cat I’ve EVER known IN MY LIFE. He is laid back. He is kind. He is loving. He looks through his wise, deep eyes right into your soul. He loves ALL humans. He loves ALL of the cats in the cathouse. He is marvelous. And he needs to be in his very own home, living out his remaining years in a loving relationship with a human. PLEASE. I need someone wonderful to adopt Teddy.
Won’t you please spread the word about the four seniors here at Winnie’s Wish – especially Traci Mae who shouldn’t have to spend another day of her life in a shelter of ANY kind (including my own), and Teddy who will be the love of someone’s life if he’s just given a chance.
Have a good weekend. See you next week.
Tracie Mae and Teddy both looks so beautiful and would make someone great pet. Teddy is long haired and could make a lap cat for some one and Tracie May would make a nice cat to worship from afar and look out at you from her perch, as if to say "Good morning to you sweet human," What more can a person ask for? Please adopt one of these wonderful Senior cats.. Sun is shinning and all is looking good today. Ginny & The Fur Family

Oh I just love a cuddly kitty! Who doesn't want a lapcat? If you know someone who isn't really up for the extra energy a young kitten requires, won't you tell them about these kitties? Please please help them find their forever homes so they don't have to be in the cathouse any longer! (not that it's a bad place, but it's not home) Please spread the word!

Awww! How lovely! We really hope they find homes. Seniors are just lovely. We wrote about one yesterday who's blind and deaf and is now working as a therapy cat! Seniors can do anything. :)

I don't understand how six years old can be considered a senior kitty! I also adopt kitties 10 years or older, and they still have so much life to live and love to give! After all, the average age of a cat is 16! I urge everyone to adopt "older" kitties!
