I feel your pain. It is so hard to have such sweet kitties needing a home and none coming forth. When you read the papers there are so many free unwanted cats and dogs. The need is every where. At Tractor supply and at a farm place in Mayfield they have what is called a trade day several times a year.People bring cats, dogs, rabbits etc. even goats and sheep, and trade with others or just offer free to some one who cares. I know a lady who has gotten two sweet kitties there that were brought by good farm folks who just had too many barn cats. Maybe the shelter and/or private rescuers could have such a day but with house pets. Free- with papers signed just like you do with Winnies wishers, to return if they don't work out. Many would work out. One can never be 100% sure a pet is going to a good home. It would be worth a go. Just a thought from someone else here who is over catted. Have a great day . Andrea and the Celestial Kitties

We're hoping and praying for good homes to pop up! I'm sharing the kitties little posters and hoping someone will see a sweet face and have to have them! I know that works, it did for me!

Maria in CT

Chrystal, I'm not really sure where you live or how rural it is, but do you have a local paper, either print or online, for your area? Has anyone every done a local story on your shelter? That might be a good way to get the word out, especially if you think people are not aware of you and your wonderful facility. I think, for you, publicity on some level is key.

So hoping you find wonderful forever homes. I Like the suggestion by Maria to get a newspaper story done on the shelter. xx
