My Evergreen has fever. He is on an antibiotic and lysine and fever medication for comfort. Of course, my fear is Bobcat Fever because of the tick infestation when I took him in. Bobcat Fever symptoms can present as early as ten days to two weeks after the bite. It has been three weeks so I am trying to be optimistic that this is NOT Bobcat Fever. The illness is nearly always fatal and death comes rapidly - about five days after the beginning of symptoms. It is possible he had fever on Saturday but yesterday is when I noticed he wasn't feeling good. After a long yesterday and last night, he is no worse this morning. I am trying to remain hopeful. If this is not Bobcat Fever, then the antibiotic and lysine should help him recover from whatever this might be. There are no other symptoms so it's hard to tell.
Evers is my little angel boy who reminds me so much of the angel Wintergreen (Winnie) who left us three years ago. I'm hoping this little guy gets to stay.
I'll post an update tomorrow.
Sending so much love, and prayers for this wee boy. We love him already. xx

I am so sorry to know Evergreen is feeling poorly. I will add him to all of those on my prayer list and will hope that the course of treatments will return him to better health. I read your blog every post, just haven't been a good commenter. Abby is leaving for the Bridge sooner rather than later. Just wanted you to know.

Good luck to Evergreen. I hope it's just a relatively harmless illness and that he recovers fully.
