This is a post about my book. I am told that the only way to get sales is to keep showing up. So this post will regularly find its way onto Facebook. I need to grow my FB numbers, and hopefully as a result - sales. I have been coached to get better at describing my book. AND to include the good things that people are saying about it. So this is my attempt at that “marketing” sort of activity. Here goes.
There IS a reason for you to buy this book. You love animals, especially dogs and cats. Right? This book is about homeless dogs and cats, living a nightmare, breeding uncontrollably - NOT pleasant to ponder. But wait. This book will make you feel good about what’s happening for some of the homeless creatures in one little corner of the world. daily dose of dogs (aka cats with your coffee) is the true account of my ongoing battle to make a difference in the lives of the homeless creatures I encounter. My hope is that this book will entertain you, bring a tear and a smile, maybe even have you believing that we CAN make a difference for animals.
There is another reason for you to buy this book. I am a private animal rescuer. The costs of private rescue come right out of the pocket of the rescuer. I am always looking for ways to support this work. If I sell books, that income helps me to continue the work and still pay the bills. And might I add that my *BIG dream would be to sell so many books that not only could I continue the work but even expand it. Therefore, sales will ultimately help me help more.
The following are some quotes from reviews the book has received on Amazon. THANK YOU reviewers. You give me hope.
while reading it you will feel as if you have made a new group of friends... Well worth reading, I highly recommend this one!
This is a wonderful book about the rescue work of Chrystal Parker. It chronicles the day-to-day ups and downs of rescue.
I am looking forward to ordering more copies as gifts later in the year. I had to be sure it was a good book first - it is.
If you love animals and true stories about life, DON'T MISS THIS BOOK!!!! It is one you just don't want to put down.
a way of writing that just draws you in, makes you feel like you're right there beside her on some desolate back road trying to coax some starving injured frightened animal to come into her world. It really is THE book to read!
one of the best books I have ever read
From the minute you pick it up you are enthralled with her story
There are very few books which I would recommend so highly.
It feels boastful to copy & paste these pieces of reviews to a post I am writing about my own book. But I am told this is how to “market”. And since I have zero dollars with which to hire those services, I will have to become comfortable with this part of the job.

Keep your fingers crossed for sales. There’s still SO MUCH I’d love to do. . .
Hoping sales go well ~ such a good cause. I love your book because it tells of the wonderful work you do. Thank you.

It really is a great book! So easy to get lost in! I challenge anyone to just read 50 pages, you'll be captivated and will want to read the rest!
If you haven't bought the book, do so soon! It's so worth it!
Don't forget that all those cat house kitties need a home. Look them over, see which one will fit into your house, your friends house, your families house. They are just waiting and ready for their forever home and YOU can help!

I loved this book. I think anyone who reads it will get caught up in all the family adventures of rescues. I think you are on track with every reason you have given. Don't ever be afraid of blowing your own horn when you have something wonderful to pass along that might help to rescue animals and find them forever loving homes. We are going to be your brass band and keep banging that drum until some one in the entertainment or publishing business gives it a hand up on a nation wide program.. Back to the store.... We all love this book. It is a darn good book and I always look through the animal books at the book stores and yours is every bit as good and better than most. At my time in life I don't feel I have to finish a book that doesn't read well. let me say I have started some books by established authors and just put then down. I SIMPLY COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. I READ EVERY STORY AND LAUGHED AND CRIED AND ENJOYED THEN ALL. I HATED TO SEE THE END COME ... Have a great day -- Ginny& The Fur Family

Don't ever be afraid to "toot your own horn," Chrystal. What you do is AMAZING, and your book chronicles what you do beautifully.
