It’s hard for me to believe. Two years ago today, I sat down at the computer and typed out my first blog post ever. You’ve heard me use the phrase What a difference a day can make. Multiply that by 731 days. TWO YEARS of blogging. It’s been quite a ride.
So many wonderful friends and supporters. I try to say it all the time, but certainly today I need to say how much it means to have you along for the ride. You have been there for me through the good times and the bad. You have helped me financially with auctions, donations, commentathons, and bricks. You have adopted kitties from me and put the word out about who still needs a home. I marvel at the community of animal lovers I have met through this blog. What a blessing!
I realize I should have a buffet ready for you, some champagne, decorations. At least punch and cookies, right? Instead, I’m going to invite you to celebrate my blogoversary with me by asking you to work. (I bet next year you will re-consider an invitation to the daily dose blogoversary, huh?) Let me get right to the request(s). Oh, yeah. There are TWO. (1) I’m wondering if you will help me with my third Winnie’s Wish Walkway Brick Fundraiser . (2) I’m wondering if you will help me with adoptions. The rest of this post will offer ways for you to do extra work, in the midst of your already busy, hectic lives. There’s something about a request like this that just doesn’t seem right on the day of a celebration. But then, I know you guys now. I know you well enough to know that you care about homeless animals like I do. I know you love your own fur babies, and you wish ALL fur babies had it made like your own do. I know that you know that in my one tiny little spot in the world, I am trying to make sick ones well, fearful ones content, hurt ones healed, and homeless ones homed. And you guys have told me you’re glad. You’ve also told me you like to help me out. I was at first amazed by that, then it became normal, and now I just come right out and ask. That’s thanks to your giant, generous hearts.
Tomorrow I will do a final brick story from the second round. It is absolutely perfect to tie up the last fundraiser and begin the new one. Tuesday, I will start taking orders for bricks. I will collect orders throughout the rest of March and place my order with the company on April 2nd. I am hoping you might advertise the brick fundraiser on your own blogs or any other way you can think of. On Wednesday I will start an all-out explosion, blast, push, burst towards the placing of the current group of Winnie’s Wish kitties. These guys need homes. I know there HAVE to be homes out there. Throughout the coming days, will you pull together with me to create the biggest adoption event Winnie’s Wish has ever known? We have NINE adult kitties who need homes of their own. Throughout this week, I’m asking for the help of everyone I know who blogs. I am looking for anyone who is willing to do a special post this week for one?, two?, all? of our adoptables. I will repost portions of specific posts and try to get new pictures up, which you can feel free to copy and launch on your own blogs, or do links to my blog, or whatever you would be willing to do. Use my share button. Post things on your Facebook pages. Tweet about our adoptables. ANYTHING. If you are one of the angels who has adopted a Winnie’s Wish kitty, would you be willing to do a special post on your blog about that kitty with a link to our Winnie’s Wish post? If you are one of the angels who has adopted a Winnie’s Wish kitty and you do NOT have a blog, I would be happy to do a post about your experience on my blog over the next couple of weeks if you will send me what you’d like to say and some pictures. My greatest Wish would be to have my blogoversary result in some adoptions. So - if you are willing, please join me in a week or two of adoption explosion. Maybe we can inundate the blogosphere and cyberspace with the faces of these adult kitties who need homes of their own. Tune in tomorrow for a GREAT brick post. Then please visit throughout the coming days and snatch information that you can use to get the word out.
THANK YOU for stopping by to help me celebrate my 2nd Blogoversary. THANK YOU for helping yourself to a piece of cake work and a glass of champagne help for a good cause. Hope to have you with me over the next couple of weeks.

Happy 2nd Blogoversary. Mom Paula is hoping she can participate with the bricks this time. It's approaching one year since Sweet Praline went to the bridge and she wants to do something special in her memory if she can afford the green papers.
