This week was supposed to be all about the actual pets of the Parker family. But we couldn’t turn away a couple of new fosters who really needed us. So let me introduce you to two dogs who really need some extra TLC. The old guy (daschund) has more problems than I will even go into now. So he certainly didn’t need to be in the midst of the chaos of the shelter. He will stay with us for a while. (There may be a plan for him in the near future.) The pomeranian has been SO fearful since being brought into the shelter that she had not taken a single bite of food for two days. She started off at the pound where she had also not eaten a single bite (I don’t know for how long). She is terrified and depressed and probably also experiencing low blood sugar from not eating. Younger Daughter got her to eat some last night. (We may start calling her the Pom Whisperer. :-) We’ll get to work on these two. They deserve it.
Meet Peanut, an OLD man with lots of problems.
From the pound, to the shelter, to us - meet China.
I have another donation to announce. Many of you are familiar with the blog The Taylor CatSSSSS. If you are, you know that they lost one of their five kitties - Seaborne - at Thanksgiving. Mom Deb sent a donation in honor of Seaborne. Deb, THANK YOU. If only every cat could have it as good as Seaborne did in your home!
Now here are pictures of more of our crew.
Suds, in a box, of course.
Younger Daughter's Samuel.
DiMarno.
Bailey and Gideon.
Older Daughter's Rolly and Trace.
Back inside after the snow. Cozy on the couch.
A pair of cozies, in from the snow.
P.S. There is something REALLY GOOD brewing here. I’ll let you know by the end of the week.
We know that Peanut and China will get the special attention that they need at your place. Super pictures, we love Suds in the box!!!
We gave you an award today, please pop by our blog if you have a chance :-)

Wonderful of Deb to send a donation.
And something good brewing sounds tantalizing. Nice to wrap up the week with good news, we think.
Purrs for Peanut and China!

Pom Whisperer, love it! There is something about your family.. It doesn't seem to take long for even the most frightened, damaged animals to turn around! I have no doubt that these two new fosters will soon be someone's new loving pet.
Speaking of new loving pet... Have you spoken up for a cathouse cat? Found a friend to speak for one? With luck, the cathouse will be empty before long!! When I say "with luck" I mean luck we make because we all try to help! It's possible to do it if we put our minds to it!
Deb, we're sorry you lost your kitty, but wow, how generous you are!

My heart goes out to Deb for the loss of Seaborne. It was so nice for Deb to make a donation in honor of Seaborne. Love the pictures of the group of home bodies. The old Dachund looks to be about 10 - I think he is so sweet and the Pom mix China will soon mellow out with younger daughter working with her. Mr.Peanut is a good name for the Dachund - All the family pets look so happy to be in a good loving place - I hope some one out there will adopt one of the loving animals for a life time. Peace to all and have a good night - Ginny & The Fur Family - Fur is love - everyone needs a furry friend to give them forever love
