Last Fall, we took in six feral kittens - Leo, Tuxie, Glitter, Cashmere, Spritz, and Mitts. Tuxie (now Trixie) and Leo were adopted by Amy (House of Cats) and Andrea (Celestial Kitties), respectively. Those two cat moms had birthday celebrations for their Winnie’s Wish kitties over this past weekend. They chose the date of August 27 as the birthday. Of course, that means that Glitter, Cashmere, Spritz, and Mitts had a birthday that day, too. As I said yesterday, we don’t have birthday parties because there are too many kitties here. But we do have the occasional Cathouse Party. It had been a while. There has not been a party since the Formerly Feral Four and the Survivors moved in. The Sisters Gray gave us the perfect excuse for a party. Leo sent gifts to his sisters, so they got to open the gifts. Of course, everyone in the cathouse was invited to the party. I got lots of great pictures. I want to share the pictures of The Sisters today because it affords me another opportunity to highlight these Gray Girls. These four have been in the cathouse the longest - I am really hoping one of these Sisters will catch someone’s attention and become “chosen”.
Andrea's letter informed me that one of the gifts in the box was mine. I found it!
The rest of the gifts were for the birthday girls.
Glitter saw her name on the card.
First she read the card. (That's the polite thing to do.)
Then she opened the first gift.
Mitts noticed her name on the envelope, too.
Mitts spent the rest of the party chasing springs.
Once the package of mice was open, everybody got interested. (Yes, that's Percy joining the fun.)
Cashmere chased mice for a long time.
Cashmere left her mice to investigate this new toy.
Spritz in the middle of a head-turn. She does this when she's happy.
"I heard there were mice to be had. Can't find any."
I'm highlighting The Sisters Gray today, but everybody joined in the fun.
Daphne, on the couch. She doesn't see well, so getting into the middle of the cats makes her nervous. Oh, but she does love her couch!
Charms reminds us that the paper is as good as the toy.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY - Glitter, Cashmere, Mitts and Spritz! Thanks brother Leo and mom Andrea for the fun!
Just a reminder . . . . The Sisters are all ready for a home. Any takers?
See you tomorrow.
Happy birthday to the sisters!
What a great birthday package too--love the photos, Chrystal. Everyone's having a great time with the presents. :-)
Fingers and paws crossed that you find wonderful forever homes for them!

Happy Birthday to the sisters. Your Joe looks like my Joe - I hope he makes it. My computer crashed just after Chica was ill so have not been able to check in. Been thinking of you and trying to follow on the computer at work.

Paper is the favorite toy around here, next to the red laser pointer dot that dances all over the place. Temptations are the only snack Mica will eat. She turns up her nose at all others.
