Whew! So good to hear that things are looking up! And it is telling that, despite all you've been through, you are still rescuing helpless little animals!

I just have to say that as well as driving the baby bird to rehab, I suspect all the work your hubby has done to bury the beloved dead animals has been from love. He sounds like a special guy.

So glad to hear your mood is lifting and I'm hoping for the best news possible about Waggles. If not, you do know you gave him a really, really, really good life, right?

Madeline

Well I am so glad the dying has stopped and I will say this, you have a very very special husband,There isn't any man that I know who would do what yours has done including my husband.
I think you found your soul mate.

Random Felines

Yeah for all of you and for the kittens.

We had to laugh at the vision of you and your husband running around in the grass with 3 dogs and a bouncing baby bird.....glad you caught it!

Celeste

I spent the last few days reading all the stories in your blog starting at your first post, I think what you are doing is AMAZING.
I am glad you turned a corner and things are finally looking up!

Pam and the Califurrrrrnia5

You and your family ... what can I say other than AMAZING! (((Hugs))) to you all!

Big Smile!

I am so glad to turn that corner and be heading down the road to a better and safer place to land physically and emotionally! Oh as terrible a toll as all of this was it is still amazing to see that with all the hard and difficult work you and your family saved all of these beautiful babies!
Love and purr hugs

So glad you got the bird to the right hands. When I was little we tried a few times to rescue birds but it never worked out. My hubby, however, successfully rescued a pair of baby birds and eventually released them (a baby squirrel too, but that's a different story!)
It sure sounds like the kitties are on the road back and that's wonderful. I'm so glad you were smiling! You've really been through the ringer and I'm glad you can still respond to the good!
Still praying for Waggles here and for you to keep strong through everything.

Love this post- I can picture it like a movie. There is just something about you and the nick of time. One more second and Bouzzer would have been picking feathers out of her teeth. Chrystal you have some Karma - things work out where you are there at the exact second to wrestle life from the jaws of death. It's like you are the great avenger of all furry and feathered beings and if anyone can save one you can - You amaze us all. How could we go on with our day with out checking your blog? I love this blog. Even when saddness happens as it will do - you rebound with a story of recovery that will knock our sox off and makes us cry for joy. I have never saved a bird but have tried many times. Now we will know what to try to do to save the little birds. You teach us a lot as you tell stories of your rescues. Thank you so much -- prayers for Waggles. The idea of a rescue donkey is a great one and the perfect thing to snap Radio out of some of the loss of Queen -- Warm wishes to all at your place. Sometimes you make me wish I was staying right here in my house in southern Illinois.

Chrystal - just wanted to let you know that I've been reading all your posts and am really sorry that things have been so hard for you and your human and furry families! I'm so glad things seem to be looking up a bit - hope they continue to do so.

Love and purrs from Katie and the cats

P.S. We're still not blogging (writer's block on my part) but everything is fine.

Lana
