Tulip is the kitty we took in when she was pregnant. She had difficulties with the delivery, and ultimately almost died herself. She has fully recovered, and has been living in a cage, waiting until she was healthy enough to be vaccinated.
A few days ago, just after the grand opening, we moved Tulip into Winnie’s Room. She spent the first 24 hours in her cage in the room so that she and the other kitties could "acquaint" themselves. When she was finally liberated into the larger space, she explored every inch of it. Tulip is now officially a member of the cathouse gang. There is still some occasional hissing, but all in all, the adjustment has gone well. She was SO interested in EVERYTHING, that I thought pictures might tell the best story. Besides, it gave me another excuse to take pictures of Winnie’s Room and share that amazing space with all of you.
One last glance at the cage home, and after that, Tulip never looked back. She investigated everything in the room. She checked out the tunnel. Joined Alice in a short lounge. Discovered the cat tree. And found some great windows to look out of.
The only thing that gave Tulip a bit of trouble was this toy. I'm pretty sure she thought it was a bed at first. Then finally - "I get it!"
At the end of the day, I believe Tulip was well satisfied. I'm pretty sure I heard her say - "I like it here!"
Yesterday, I received a box from The Katnip Lounge Kats. Trish had informed me the package was on its way. She said she had some extra toys around that would be just perfect for Winnie's Room. Indeed. Thank you Trish and Katnip Lounge Kats!
Please keep Daphne (yesterday's post) in your thoughts and prayers. This amazing little girl needs a wonderful home!

Tulip has probably never seen such a wonderful place!!! Safe and warm and friends to play with, she has hit the jackpot until her forever home comes along :-) Yes, we are still praying for Daphne!

I was wondering about sweet Tulip- she is so pretty and looks like she has found real joy in the Winnies room - the pictures are so good and show how curious a new cat can be in every thing around them. Prayers for the adoption of Daphne and Tulip... sun shine here today and every thing can dry out a little - wild flowers are starting to bloom in spite of all the water.. warm wishes - Ginny & the Fur Family - looking forward to the Bricks tomorrow.

Amazing how Tulip just strolled right in like she owned the place. That's one special self-assured little gal. And imagine being so brave after all she has been through. She will definitely make a great addition to any fur family!

Absolutly wonderful news! So glad she's all better! And wow, she looks like she's enjoying herself greatly!
That blue ring toy? I have one too, and Star still treats it like a bed! She sits in it all the time and only occasionally plays with it. Leo tries to bat at it, but his big paws make it a touch difficult to get at the ball. He sits in it too occasionally, when he's not king of the footstool.
Has Mitts recovered yet? Been worried and praying for her and Tulip, and so very glad Tulip is better!
Praying now that Tulip and Daphne get their perfect forever homes! I'm convinced that someone reading this is or knows who has the perfect place for them!
