Yesterday’s post was entitled A Sweet Week - and for a reason. Is that hint enough to keep you coming back every day this week?
About a month ago, I heard from someone (B) who was possibly interested in adopting Jo-Jo. We emailed and discussed. B already had one cat and did not know what would be best for him. She felt he needed a companion, especially for when she was away from home. But this cat was a shyer type and a second cat might cause him distress. She gave it a few days and couldn’t stop thinking about Jo-Jo. The next time we emailed, I said that it would be fine for B to take Jo-Jo into her home on a trial basis. I have an adoption contract that requires no re-homing. So if B adopted Jo-Jo and it didn’t work out for any reason, she would need to return Jo-Jo to Winnie’s Wish anyway. I suggested we could just start from that point, and if Jo-Jo didn’t work out with B’s current cat, we simply wouldn’t finalize the adoption. B liked the idea.
Three weeks ago, I met B and B’s sister L and B’s teenage granddaughter D at a truck stop halfway between our towns. I turned over Jo-Jo, drove away, and hoped this would be Jo-Jo’s forever home. B and I decided to give it at least a couple of weeks to see how the two cats would do together before making a final decision. Well, I heard from B over the weekend. The cats are adjusting, and B told me she is ready to finalize. Jo-Jo hated the cathouse. She never stopped wanting to be back in our home. Now she has one of those - a home - of her very own.
Jo-Jo has been listed on Petfinder as “adoption pending.” I’m going there now to change that to “adopted.” AND to list somebody else as “adoption pending.” Did you not notice that the title of this post is Trials. Uh-huh. That’s plural. See you tomorrow.

I love this picture. Look at the brother cat sitting very close to Jo-Jo, who has flopped down in front of him.
This is a picture of granddaughter D holding Jo-Jo, which she does EVERY time she visits. (I have permission to put her picture here.)

This post made my day. I was hoping for Jo-Jo to get a loving home and looking at the picture on the post of the D. giving love to Jo-Jo makes the heart glad. This is the reason the rescue lives on and pays it forward.. one more homeless has a home for life..and that makes room for one more. keep up the good work at Winnies wish- cat's a plenty- cat house and love will abound. Have a wonderful day every one... Ginny & The Fur Family. Remember love of the furry kind is the best love and it is forever

Yay for Jo-Jo! I hope you get lots of updates on her so we can "keep in touch". And another pending adoption? Awesome! But you are such a tease! ;)

Hurrah for Jo-Jo. I like the picture of the grey cat considering Jo-Jo. He looks a little exasperated, a little superior, a little condescending. I guess that just makes him a cat. But it seems like things are working out there. That's excellent.

We love her. I get to see her often and she already treats me like a long lost love. B. and D are thrilled with Jo Jo. Thanks Chrystal for all you do.

Whoo hoo! Yay for Jo-Jo!! Her big brother looks like he's at least starting to take to her! Yay yay yay!!!! This is so awesome! And I hope that the trial you talk about tomorrow ends up the same way, with a happy adoption!!!
Now do you see what a wonderful thing it is when a kitty gets adopted??? Don't you want to be part of that??? There are two ways you can! First, you can adopt a kitty yourself! Second, you can help find a home with someone you know!
Don't live close? Who cares! Kitties travel! There are so many people who are ready and willing to step in and help transport the kitty you want!
Want to give a valentines day gift to the cathouse cats? Why not send the some green papers, you know, moneys! Green may not be very valentiney but hey, Chrystal will exchange those green ones for yummies! And who doesnt want yummies for Valentines day?? A full tummy is a good thing!
Need a valentines day gifty for your kitty? Consider a Winnie's Wish Toy set!
Need some extra love for Valentines day?? Adopt a kitty!!! Find a kitty a home and you get double lovin! From the happy kitty and from the happy person who you helped adopt the happy kitty! Love all around!
