[quick note - There are several Julie-s who have done nice things for this rescue work: the Julie whose brick I messed up (and who was SO understanding about it); the Julie whom I blogged about yesterday (see yesterday’s post); and THIS Julie.
Julie has a brick in the WWWalkway memorializing one of her own sweethearts. Then during the last brick round, Julie sent me this email: My best friend just lost one of her cats last week, and I want to put a brick in your walkway for him. I thought my friend might like to have the same brick for her patio. May I order two bricks, with the proceeds of both going to Winnie's Wish, and could you ship the 2nd to me? I would happily pay the shipping cost. Please let me know if you think this is doable.
Doable it was! Now here is Julie’s tribute to her friend’s cat Tigger.
My friend Kelly adopted her cat Tigger at about 6 months old. He was a Philly tom with ear mites and a lot of spirit. He was always a very friendly cat. Tigger had a tic like dogs do - if you scratched a certain place on his back, he would turn his head and chew the air until you stopped. Kelly just lost Tigger in October. He was her roommate and friend for close to 15 years. Kelly, I, and all the rest of her friends miss him but were happy to have known him.
Julie ~ THANK YOU.

Aw, what a sweetheart he looks! I'm so sorry for her loss. What a loving tribute to him you made, Julie! I'm sure your friend appreciates it.
It's amazing how much furry love such little creatures can give. Fifteen years is a long time and a lot of love! There are kitties in the cathouse who'd be so happy to give you so much furry love, all you have to do is adopt! Look at the faces on the sidebar, there is someone there just waiting for you to take them home!
If not you, then your parents, your adult children, your friends, your coworkers, someone you know could save the life of two kitties. The one they adopt, and the one they make room for. So please, as Kat has started and has become a mantra, help Clear the Cathouse by Kitten Season!
People.. kitten season is upon us! It's only a matter of time before some lost and hungry little souls find their way to Chrystal! We need to make sure there's room for them!
Adopt! Donate! Buy the book! Get a brick! Share, tweet, repost, spread the word! Thank you!!

Beautiful brick for Tigger - Julie that is such a nice gift for your friend Kelly. 15 years is a long time of love and compaionship. Tigger won the lottery of the cat world when kelly adopted him and made him her cat. I love the brick stories. Every furry has a story and all furries are worthy of a loving home. The stories and bricks make them real to all the people out here who read about them. Now we know Tigger's story, and will always remember his life. Bless Juile - kelly and Tigger. All the cats in the side bar would make a great pet for some lucky person. PLease study the pictures and contact Chrystal for their stories... Ginny & The Fur Family - This may be your lucky furry day.
