Patti is a reader of this blog and supporter of my rescue work. She was the giver of the “Christmas in October” box of goodies for the many furries here. During the last brick fundraiser, Patti ordered two bricks. They were gifts to a couple of Patti’s friends. When it came time for the friends to write their stories about the memorialized pets, one friend (J) couldn’t do it. It was just too hard. We all know how that feels. In honor of that much loved little soul, here is Patti’s gift to her friend - a memorial to Dixie Doodle.
J sent these two sentences:
"I can't write a story about my lil Doobug. Who would believe I would miss her so much?"
J ~ We understand.
Patti ~ THANK YOU

Beautiful brick tribute to Dixi Doodle. Patti this was such a kind generous gift. J. We here at the Fur Family home in Fur a Way Land know just how you feel. Remembering love of the Furry kind sometimes hurts more than trying to furget... My Andy is such a dog. love is fur ever. Always in our hearts and minds, love is a comfort and a deep saddness - But Better to have loved-- always better. Such a sweet little face. Now we all will know about your Doodle bug and we send our loving thoughts. I truly believe that someday you will see Dixie Doodle again....waiting for you in the here after. Ginny and The Fur Family

Oh my gosh do I understand! They are part of us, part of the family! It can be so hard, especially if it's soon. Soon, of course, being relative to the person, not time measured in days.
It is a beautiful brick tribute.
Brick stories are always wonderful and touching, even if there are no words. Just knowing that another animal is being represented, and that a contribution has been made to Winnie's Wish to help the kitties find homes is a seriously special thing!
What we need now, are more wonderful homes! Please read about the kitties on the sidebar and help find them their forever family! If it's you, that's wonderful, don't wait! And if it's your friends or family or coworkers, then please, help them not to wait either!
For the love of pets, please help in any way you can! Share, tweet, spread the word!
