Mindy Slimmer (Pugs and Purrs) has another brick in the Winnie's Wish Walkway. Mindy is a big supporter and has adopted THREE Winnie's Wish kitties. Now, in her words:
In February of 2012, Miss Chrystal had a post about two lovebirds that had to find a home together. Although it was a few months after Valentine's day before they got their forever homes, Percy & Golden became part of the Slimmer Family in April 2012. In December 2011, we adopted Luna right after the Christmas holiday and thought she might need a few friends since the "upstairs kitties" weren't exactly wanting any newcomers. You have to remember that Socks is an elderly kitty at the mean ol' age of 14 years old and Jack was a lonely only 3 year old...it was traumatic enough for Socks to get a brofur so late in life, did another sisfur have a chance? Now, if you come to our house today, Luna and Jack (dad's 4 year old kitty) are getting along quite marvelously...but at the time, he was a newbie himself getting adapted to his new living environment and dealing with a crochety older sister. So...we decided that Luna fit our family well and it was time again to adopt from the Winnie's Wish cathouse so that she wouldn't be so lonely...this was also before she became a pug. But which kitty?
Yes, you heard right...we went looking for one cat to add to our pet-plethora household. When I listed the criteria for Chrystal of the type of cat Luna had become and what we wished for her in the future, Chrystal and her daughters all agreed that what we really needed was not one but TWO kitties. Golden and Percy have loved each other from the beginning of their stay at the cathouse and have bonded even beyond the bond that Luna and Golden once had as a mother-daughter pair. Luna is a talker and needed a kitty friend that would allow her to be dominate and yet could be a potential friend. The only cats in the cathouse meant to be were Golden and Percy and the catch was that they HAD to go together. What's one more cat? The more the merrier. We had 5 pugs and with two more kitties added to our household that would be 5 cats, too. An even match-up...or so we thought at the time. Luna has blossomed into a honorary-pug and loves to hide under the bed quilt and looks like a lump in the bed. :) It really is quite cute. Although she does not hate Percy and Golden, to say they have become friends is to dramatize the reality...there is a level of tolerability...Luna is queen, the boss...so if they get out of line, she corrects them.
So...Socks is a lonely only, Jack and Luna are becoming friends, and Percy and Golden have remained inseparable...they sleep, they eat, and they play together. I never have seen it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did synchronized potty duties. :) Percy by himself is a loving man...his nickname at our home is Percy Paws and Percy Purr-Purrs...he is just floofy and fantastic and just a big old cuddly-wuddly boy. Golden loves to play and she is coming around to allowing us to love on her. Maybe someday she will be more outgoing like Percy, but for now she is happy being the more reserved of the pair and we love it as she comes more out of her shell. We hope you love our Percy and Golden as we love them. God Bless!!

Percy and Golden look so happy in the pictures. So sad That they are both over the bridge. love the Brick and the verse says it all - Together forever like peas and carrots is a lovley saying. Furry love is forever even after they are gone over. We who see the brick and have read their story will always remember their lives and loves... Warm wishes to all. Ginny & The Fur Family E

Inseperable! Wow! What a pair of cuties! Mindy, you rock! I think you have a whole section of walkway! I'm glad these two buddies are yours, they certainly look happy!
Wouldn't you like a happy pair of kitties in your house?? There are several pairs in the cathouse waiting for forever homes! Of course there are ones who would do well on their own, but more furry love is great, isn't it!?
Donate! Adopt! Share, post, tweet! Adopt! Do what you can to help get these kitties in their forever homes!
