This month, I’ve been working my way through the Winnie’s Wish kitties here - all of whom are looking for wonderful forever homes. I started with the MOST outgoing and adoptable. Today I will highlight the last of those. Today I will highlight Circe.
Circe was one of four feral kittens and a mom cat that were the first-ever inhabitants of the cathouse. It was the Summer of 2008 when my family and I trapped mom and babies. We were able to place mom and two kittens, but the other two kittens were so feral that I resigned myself to the possibility that they would live out their lives here. Tibby Bean and Circe are those two now four-year-olds. They have lived as the cathouse matriarchs all of this time (and quite happily so). But several months ago, Circe started coming around. Whereas she had always bolted away, now she would slip up for attention. Over time, she seemed to get more and more tame. At some point, I finally realized that Circe was as tame as (or even tamer than) other cats in the cathouse. It seemed it was time to see if we could find Circe a home of her own. Here is a paragraph I wrote about her last March:
Circe has, amazingly, become a cat who wants a human. She has started demanding attention from us when we go in. But more surprisingly, she has been asking for attention from strangers when they step into the cathouse, too. Over Christmas, she shocked us all with how she allowed my whole extended family to pet her and make over her. And when Jennifer and her daughter came to pick up Monkey and Charms, Circe wanted their attention, too. Wonderful. So we are hoping there is someone out there now who will offer Circe a home. She is loving and gets along with the other cats in the cathouse. I have no idea how she will adjust in a new home, but that’s why I only look for special homes. With the right person, Circe will have an opportunity to live in a home with a family of her own. It is definitely possible that she could have a bit of an adjustment period because our cathouse is all she has ever known since she was a kitten. I just know there has to be a patient person out there who could provide Circe a wonderful forever home.
On Thursday of last week, I highlighted Glitter - one of four beautiful floofy kitties here. Circe looks a lot like Glitter. She is long-haired, mostly gray, but with beige mixed in here and there. She is a quiet cat who loves to lie in front of a window on a soft blanket or on a carpeted cat tree shelf. She likes to be petted and will actually grab my hand with one of her front paws when I stop petting and start to pull my hand away. Though I believe Circe is basically happy in the cathouse, I know that after an adjustment period in a new home, she would love the extra attention she would receive. And for every cat adopted from here, room is made to take in another. So if someone out there would like a quiet companion who would enjoy being showered with attention - Circe could be your girl.

Circe is very beautiful. She would make a loving p et for someone who is alone. If you are out there and have lost your pet or just need a companion please consider Circe. Winter can be a lonely time for one person living alone and a furry friend is just what you need. Anyone with a loving soul and spirit makes a great parent for a furry one. Only true animal lovers can love and enjoy some kitty as special as Circe. Now is the time to e-mail Chrystal or just pick up the phone and call the kennel and let your thoughts be known and she can answer all your questions about the personailty of this sweet kitty. Remember an adoption from the cat house makes way for another one that can be saved. Have a great day - hope you are not in the way of Sandy the storm. It looks like a terriable one in the east. It is pretty here in the heart land today. Adopt and donate to help the animals. Ginny & The Fur Family

Circe sure is a beautiful cat. She sounds like the kind of cat that so many people are looking for. We have our paws crossed that she'll find her forever home real soon. And we will share this on Facebook, too!
Hugs!

Circe is so pretty! Am I crazy in thinking she's a delute calico? That's what it appears to me from some of the pictures anyway.. Whatever she is, she's gorgeous and deserves a family of her own! Please do what you can to help her get one!
