Last Post of August

I thought I would have time to post today.  As it turns out, I do not.  I’m off to deliver five Winnie’s Wishers for neuter surgeries this morning.  Next week we find ourselves in September.  Andrea’s FUNdraiser (click on it in my sidebar) will run through September.  And the next Winnie’s Wish Walkway brick fundraiser will be launched sometime in September, too.  Over the weekend, I will be in contact with the lady who is now feeding at the feral cat colony we discovered while on vacation.  Keep your fingers crossed that Domino is still alive and might end up with us sometime in September. 

I know Summer doesn’t officially end on August 31st.  But September 1st always seems like the beginning of Fall to me.  My hope is that the coming months will bring not just the continuation of the rescue work here, but the expansion of it.  I still have my BIG DREAM.       I invite you to come along for the ride.

That is five alive that will survive - thanks to Winnie's wish.. prayers for news of Domino and to get him to the Winnie's room.. It feels like Autumn out side right now - my Crepe myrtles are loosing their leaves and still have blooms -- strange - very strange indeed - rain is coming over this week end - maybe it will still bring relief to the dry grass and fields. I hope all goes well at the vets with the kitties. This will be a long week end. Have a good Holiday and enjoy the food and fun of the labor day celebrations. I watched a great movie last night about a rescue dog named Free way - called Darling Companion - with Dianne keeton - you can guess what it was about. Purring and praying for the five little Winnie's Wishers surgeries! And seriously praying for homes for them right away!!

Homes! We need homes! These young kitties need to find a home while they're little-ish yet! And the adults, they're way past ready for a home! Please, lets make a pact with each other that we will all try at least one thing to get them homes, we'll talk to at least one person about homes. Let's see if we can get every kitty a home by Christmas! The kittens sooner please please please!
