I will start with an apology. I left the blog last Thursday with this - P.S. There’s something happening here a little later today that is really good. Really, REALLY good. And in fact, something really good DID happen Thursday afternoon. I do plan to tell you about it and invite you to celebrate with me. But on Thursday evening, something not so good happened. I am going to post these few lines today and then leave with my Jane to deliver her to the clinic for surgery. I will tell the whole story tomorrow, and I hope what I have to tell will be good news, or at least not bad news. Jane is having a tumor removed from her leg today. I was told on Friday that it is possible, in fact probable, that she will lose the leg. Please keep Jane in your thoughts today. For now, we will be on our way to the clinic. I will get a report this afternoon and will be told when I can bring her home. We have a long recovery period ahead, potentially with the task of teaching Jane how to get around on three legs. I don’t mind that. I just want them to get all of the tumor.
See you tomorrow.

Chrystal -I just talked to a vet over here in fur a way land who had a farm dog when he was little who got hit by a car and the leg was shattered - it had to be removed to save the dogs life and the dog live on 3 legs to an old age. I like this Vet, he was the one I took Ivy Boo to about her front leg. One vet wanted to take it right off then and I said no and this new vet said to wait and see - later would be time enough. I pray Janes leg can be saved. I am sure the vet will try to save the leg but Jane is more to you than just a leg. You will love her forever no matter. You are like that- a loving parent of a furry. They are like children to us and as long as they have us they can over come and be happy. Prayers for the sweet Jane --- let us know as soon as you hear and will be here to morrow for the Happy event... Ginny & The Fur family

Chrystal,
We have sent our prayer for Jane to have a successful and as pain-free as possible surgery. Even though this is not how you wanted it to go, maybe this is God's way of saying to make Jane part of "your group."
Much Love,
Mindy

My greyhound Harley had to get one of his back legs amputated because he had osteosarcoma (bone cancer). He got used to the use of three legs by the third or fourth day. And he was a very tall, very clumsy boy--I was surprised at how quick he got used to it. I'll have Jane in my thoughts. Even if you amputate, I'm sure she'll adjust quickly! I just hope the tumor is benign and not osteo.

We're praying and purring for Jane! I hope everything comes out well for her, no matter what they have to do!
It's ok that she doesnt want to look at the camera, we can see that she's a pretty girl!
While we're waiting for the rest of the story and the results for Jane, lets not forget that those kitties on the sidebar still need a home! Lets keep working at it! And helping financially if we can!
