Before I post about today’s “subject”, I want to share a couple of other things with you. The comments that came in about Jane and about Tulip made me feel SO connected to you. I know how much you guys care when I’ve got a sick or dying one. You always send your supportive comments and emails and it is such a blessing. In the last two days, as I’ve posted the wonderful news about Jane and about Tulip, your comments have reminded me yet again of what amazing, sincere, genuine CARING people you are. I started copying and pasting the comments I wanted to mention in this post, and I got tickled because I scrolled back up and I had copied nearly every comment that had come in. There were comments about tears of joy and relief and happy dances. You guys told me that I had made your day with the news. You have to REALLY care to write the things you did. And you couldn’t have done that unless it REALLY mattered to you. You never cease to amaze me. I’m SO glad you are on this journey with me.
Next, I want to mention some gifts that have arrived here for the dogs and cats of the daily dose. I will start with Mindy Slimmer. You all know her. She recently sent a package to our “shelter” dogs, a package to the Winnie’s Wish kitties, and had a prize she won in a contest sent to us.
Mindy used to hail from the blog The Slimmer Pugs. But she has a new blog now - Pugs and Purrs. She isn’t posting to her blog right now because of her summer college load, but it’s worth a trip over just to see how great this new blog looks. Mindy is a huge supporter of my work. Besides all of the many gifts she has sent, not to mention donations, she also adopted THREE Winnie’s Wish kitties. That’s part of the reason she had to construct a new blogsite - there are now as many kitties in the household as there are pugs (smile). So pop over and take a gander for now. She’ll be back with more regular posts once she gets through this summer semester.
Thanks for everything Mindy!
I’m getting closer to the subject of today’s post. This next gift I received is directly related to what I plan to talk about today - the new group of cat and kittens. Virginia and her Poupounette Gang sent a care package to help out with the new mouths to feed. Virginia is also a long-time supporter, and she has done this sort of thing for me before.
Thank you Virginia!
And now.
I sure didn’t think I would be doing this particular post quite this soon. But I have a milestone to announce. Remember my new Feral Five? Isis the calico mom. Juice and Sunshine the brothers from Florida. Mickey and Maverick the kittens of Isis. All feral, right? Well, Mickey is now one hundred percent tame. And not just that. He loves to be petted and held. He loves to play. He loves ALL of our adult cats and even the dogs. This kitten is ready. He is ready for his very own home.
Help me get the word out, friends. There’s a new Winnie’s Wisher ready to go.
Have a great weekend. See you next week.

Mickey is too darn cute!! I hope someone see's the cute-ness and can't resist. I'm glad that your group is enjoying the gifties and I think you need to make an amazon wish-list of food you like for the cats and any toys or litter or things you want for the Winnie's Wishers. I have been to a pug rescue that does exactly that and it is wonderful to just click and know you bought exactly what they wanted for their group. Just a suggestion. :)
Much Love,
Mindy :)

WEnt over to see Mindy's new blog - so cute.. Pugs and Purs- a great name.. love Mickey Mouse. I sure wish some one would adopt Micky and Mavrick together. They would get a too ferrrr of true love of the furry kind. I actually did the dance of the furries when I saw that Tulip was already in her new home - All the toys are a blessing for the cats in the cat houses and doggies just want to have fun also.. Mindy And Virginia are such nice folks. Real friends of the furries..We here at Fur-a -way land love friends of furries... Ginny & The Fur Family

Squeeeeeeee!!! Mickey is so cute!! We'll be sharing this post. Of course what we'd love to do is adopt his brother so as to have three black beauties in the house (and two Winnie's Wish kitties) but we need to keep our number of cats at four. But they're so cute!! Oh! You'll love today's post once I get it up!! ::weg::

Great gifties! And what a cute kitten all ready to get a new home! Being so little and cute, I'm sure he'll be snapped up!
I will be as thrilled as can be when he does get his home. But I'm still hoping that the adult kitties in the cat house will be just as lucky! They've been there waiting, we have to find where they belong. Someone out there is without the cat(s) that are supposed to be theirs. Lets unite them! More adoptions please!!!
Chrystal, I agree with Mindy, a wishlist sounds like a great way to help. I didn't know amazon did pet foods. But I do know that they have gift certificates! Possibly another way to help?
But until Chrystal decides on that, you can still help by looking for homes, buying the book (think gifts for everyone!) and making donations if you can!

You truly have a gift, the gift of love, caring, patience, and a huge heart for all of the animals that are lucky enough to find their way to you! I love reading your posts and seeing the pictures. Little Mickey is precious, he will make someone very happy with all his cuteness!
