As I mentioned yesterday, Older Daughter has asked me to do this post. She is employed by a no-kill shelter, home to loads of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens A particular cat is now a resident there. And he needs help. His name is Buddy and he has tested positive for leukemia. My daughter is stressing daily about keeping Buddy healthy. A shelter environment is not idea for a cat with leukemia. He needs a less chaotic, healthy environment in which to spend whatever time he has left. My daughter is hoping there is someone out there who would be willing to foster Buddy indefinitely.
Buddy is a neutered male. Tabby. Probably between 2 and 4 years old. He is positive for leukemia, but currently completely healthy. He did NOT test positive for FIV. He is extremely sweet.
Older Daughter wants me to say that he is living in a tiny cage with not much quality of life. She also says that if someone out there could foster him, but that person has other cats - those cats would be safe if they have been vaccinated for feline leukemia.
Would you please "share" this. I have a share button. Maybe if this goes out on Facebook and Twitter, there is a place for Buddy and we will find it.
I hope you will stop by next week when I finish up the brick stories AND finish up another year of blogging.
Have a great weekend!

Buddy looks very sweet. I Do hope someone will respond to his needs. Maybe some one out there with a good heart and love for furries will read your blog and it will touch their hearts. Animals are so good and true - last night at a pet store I saw a training class with all sizes of pets - no one was trying to hurt another just walking around with their owners. Some were teacups and some were large breeds. Some owners will carry cats in those little purse like things with just the head sticking out and the dogs are not attacking the cats. If some one has another older pet or even if it is not a cat Buddy would fit right in to the home. Prayers and paws up for Buddy to find a new loving home. -- Ginny & The Fur Family -batten down the hatches I do think thunder storms are coming our way. Prayers for the safty of all.

poor baby.....we hope someone will step up to help. we are glad the shelter is giving him a chance. Would they consider making him an "office" foster?? I know some places do that.

I shared it through Facebook. I don't have many "friends" on there, but perhaps some of my friends will share as well. I hope Buddy finds a foster or adoptive family soon!

Chrystal, sorry I haven't bene by in a while! It might be worth bringing this to the attention of karenjoscats.blogspot.com. Karen has a cat, Herman, who has feline leukaemia, and I know she adopted another cat with the same condition who sadly passed away a few months ago. That lady has an enormous heart. I'd do it myself, but can't leave comments on that blog.

Aw, what a sweetie! I hope someone comes to his aid soon!
Buddy needs a foster home, and the cat house cats need forever homes. you can help, tell everyone you know, share both stories! and please please consider adopting yourself!

Buddy sounds like a great cat. Thank you and your Older Daughter for caring so very much. We will purr and pray that Buddy finds a foster (or better yet, a forever home) very soon. Hugs to you all.
